|Following a harrowing report detailing abuse and neglect of children by private adoption agencies, including the adoption of an 11-year-old boy by a known sex offender in the city Romula, all adoption agencies within the territorial borders of Isltalia shall be required to file adoption requests with the Ministry of Health and Social Services. HSS will then be required to perform a full background check and interview with adoption candidates before the adoption can be finalized. The Ministry of Health and Social Services shall charge agencies a 25 LIS filing fee and a 57 LIS interview fee.|
Old value:: Adoption is regulated by private, recognised organisations.
Current: Adoption is strictly regulated by the government. Only by passing several tests and by following an intensive program applicants can adopt children.
Proposed: Adoption is regulated by the government. Applicants can adopt after a routine check-up.

|Message||The AVP is in favour of tighter legislation around adoption. The current way children are being adopted in such a fast way without any concern about the child's welbeing, it reminds us of take-away food. This is definately a point to work on after the elections.|
