Following a harrowing report detailing abuse and neglect of children by private adoption agencies, including the adoption of an 11-year-old boy by a known sex offender in the city Romula, all adoption agencies within the territorial borders of Isltalia shall be required to file adoption requests with the Ministry of Health and Social Services. HSS will then be required to perform a full background check and interview with adoption candidates before the adoption can be finalized. The Ministry of Health and Social Services shall charge agencies a 25 LIS filing fee and a 57 LIS interview fee.

MessageThe AVP is in favour of tighter legislation around adoption. The current way children are being adopted in such a fast way without any concern about the child's welbeing, it reminds us of take-away food. This is definately a point to work on after the elections.
