Message | OK. So basically we should recognise all marriages and not impose limitations on the age of the persons getting married (allow marrying children), the species of the entities getting married (allow marriage with animals), their animateness (allowing marriage with the dead and other inanimate objects), the number of entities getting married (allowing group marriages [overlapping ones of course (though this we could support)]), and willingness of the parties getting married to do so (allowing forced marriage). We are the last party to regard marriage as something sacred, but we recognise that many practices relating to marriages can violate human rights and tradition is no reason to allow violations of human rights. |

Random quote: "Colonialism or imperialism, as the slave system of the West is called, is not something that is just confined to England or France or the United States. The interests in this country are in cahoots with the interests in France and the interests in Britain. It's one huge complex or combine, and it creates what's known not as the American power structure or the French power structure, but an international power structure. This international power structure is used to suppress the masses of dark-skinned people all over the world and exploit them of their natural resources." Malcolm X |
