Message | Parents should have more control over what their children watch, especially when it comes to something sexual. If families want to have nudity on television, they can opt for cable. |

Message | I don't see the contradiction in allowing prostitution. It's not public nudity, unlike nudity on broadcast television. And the bill about nudity at nudist colonies is not public nudity either. Although I personally don't think that non-sexually explicit nudity is harmful, I believe that parents should be able to decide what is appropriate to their children. Currently, many familes are against nudity in any form, so as the government we should leave controversial things like nudity up to individuals and we should not allow it to be shown on TV. I will not move this to vote until all issues are addressed. |

Message | in that case they can turn the tv off, or monitor it better. there is no reason that freedom of expression should be censored. |
Date | 20:24:45, February 24, 2006 CET | From | Green Socialists | To | Debating the Television Decency Act |
Message | Often low income familes have trouble finding the time to monitor the content of what children watch on TV. TV is too widely available and too easily accessible. I have no problem with freedom of expression, but I believe that nudity should be on cable TV. |
Date | 21:59:39, February 24, 2006 CET | From | Socialist Ecology Party | To | Debating the Television Decency Act |
Message | Like this legislative body has anything more important to deal with then nudity on television! God forrbid! |
Date | 23:25:51, February 24, 2006 CET | From | AntiNeoCon Party | To | Debating the Television Decency Act |
Message | if this bill passes it will set a precedent for the rest of this nation and allow for even more stomping of civil rights. if a low income parent doesn't want their child to see nudity on tv they can take the tv out of the house, tvs are not a necessity. |
