Message | We'll discuss about it we are trying to keep an open mind on the subject, but we think there need to be a public corporation in the market that would compete agaisnt private provider, so they are kept in check, if it is not wrong with Foward! We are looking for a reply. Aloy Green, Co-Leader of the PLCA |

Message | Co-Leader Green, A public corporation that competes against the private provider is not necessary, the "keeping in check" is due to the subsidisation allowed by the legislation which means that all companies will have to charge "x" amount, which is subsidised by the government, to low income families. Message | Leader Webster, We understand your logic. But we are suspicious of the ability of the government to check the providers in check by subsidisation, which would mean that providers who do not respect the rules in place, will be penalized by losing their subsidies, as this require a safe-guard against corruption. If such logic is adopted is adopted, we suggest that Baltusia Create a permanent commission on corruption, that would be independant from politicals parties. Also, we have another suggestion, to avoid selling compagnies to private interests, is that we organise elections in the present public institutions and we recognize the results of these elections, this way we can avoid a vast restructaration of the current organisation of the phone services. without letting any private compagnies profit from a sell. |

Message | Dr Webster, You say that the private companies will not need keeping in check if this passes because the prices they charge are controlled by the government for low-income earners. The problem with this is that, as a private company, the phone line provider's first motive is to make money and if they cannot artificially inflate prices for low-income earners they will jack up the prices even more for the middle class.
