Bill: Budget proposal of February 2190

Details

Submitted by[?]: Telamon Social Democratic Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2190

Description[?]:

The Telamon Social Democratic Party propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Telamon Commonwealth.

The proposition cuts expenditure on HoG and finance, that have been somewhat overfunded.

More significantly the budget cuts overexpenditure on justice department and internal affairs. We wish to emphasise, that the cut in funding is simply to put the spending on more realistic level and that no weakening in internal security is intended. We wish to remind you that Internal Affairs ans Justice combined will have consederably more resources than Defence currently has.

To reduce threats to internal security and improve health of our citizens we also propose some increase in Health and Social Services.

To ensure Telamons success in a world where expertise and education plays an increasing role we propose increase in Education spending.

Furthermore we propose some cuts in Agriculture, Trade and Industry as well as Enviroment and Tourism, all of which have been overfunded as the importance of agriculture in Telamon is in decline, Trade and Industry does not require all that much direct subsidies and as the amount of administrative work related to our enviromental policies is rather limited.
