Vittoria Nacon, Prime Minister of the Republic:

''Honourable Parliamentarians,

I have no doubt all of you have seen the CNSO's report on abuse of power of AVP's minster of Justice Cassandra Lavarin.

After discussing the investigation report, I have put ms. Lavarin out of office until further notice. Her duties will be taken over by deputy minster of justice Jelano al-Habib. I have already set up a senate comisson headed by Senate majority leader Alessandro Jesi to investigate the truthfullness of the accusations made in the report.

I now give all those who have questions the opportunity to ask them, and i will answer them with the knowledge i have at this moment.

Thank you'''.

"The former minister of justice really influenced so much the Head of Govenrment? And so, the Govenrment activity?"

MessageHonourable parliamentarians,

The senate commitee will come with a reaction shortly. What i can say is that the CNSO (part of the internal Ministry of Justice oversight system) has conducted a secret investigation without informing the minster, and is now claiming to have found very critical information about her actions in office.

MessageAlessandro Jesi: Chairman of the Senate comittee regarding the CNSO report on unlawfull acting by Minister of Justice Cassandra Lavarin:

‘’Honoured Parliamentarians,

Istalian writer Georgio Vanazzio once said: ‘’The Istalian democracy was founded on the idea of seperation of powers, and every attempt to undermine that principle must be stopped immeadeately to prevent abuse of power. When the power structure of our Republic is in danger, all that’s left to do is unite and fight against all forms of dictatorship so Istalia will not fall into the hands of ruthless tyrants.’’

I am here today to present the findings of the Senate commitee headed by myself issued to investigate the CNSO’s accusiations against Minister of Justice Cassandra Lavarin. The final report will be ratified by the SISIR Office of Political Affairs for final reference.

My fellow commitee members along with our staff have recently launched an investigation as a result of the CNSO’s report on power abuse within the Minstry of Justice. This commitee has acted with a mandate from the Prime Minister to ensure comprehensive and unlimited investigation of the acting of high MoJ staff in relation to the eleminations of several mafia leaders. The commitee has used the CNSO’s and SISIR’s data and by putting them side to side we were able to see the truthfullness of the report made by the CNSO. Our investigation also included testimonies from several former maffia and gang members, as well as witness reports from anonymous sources still active within major Istalian crime syndicates.

The final conclusion of the report is the findings stated in the CNSO report are judged to have a very high truthfullness rate. The comittee can conclude with certainty that during her time in office, Minister Lavarin has created a small group of advisors and security agents (also executioners of the assignments) to, without knowledge of any other government (inspecting) department, plan and execute targeted assaults on high-profile leaders of Istalian syndicates, mobs, gangs and maffias. The report states that more than 78 assassinations have been the direct result of Minster Lavarin’s order, and over 400 people have been the indirect result of Minister Lavarin’s acting (death rate 12.5%) over the course of her 5-year ministership.

The comittee, along with the CNSO and SISIR, concludes Minister Lavarin’s order to assault over 120 people without informing any other security organisation, as according to the law, is unethic and against all laws regarding the acting of a Minster of Justice. The comittee deems Minister Lavarin’s decision to use her political leverage to create a support system based on fear and corruption to be a severe case of abuse of power.
Furthermore, the comittee would like to clarify that no cases of external influence were discovered, concluding Minister Lavarin acted out of her own sense of justice and did not experience influence from outside her inner circle or the Ministry of Justice. The comittee also points out that the CNSO’s claim that Minister Lavarin’s statement regarding her so called domination of Prime Minister Nacon is untrue. However, the comittee deeply blames the Prime Minister for not overseeing the acts of Minster Lavarin and therewith creating a large political space that gave the MoJ the ideal opportunity to freely act without supervision. At last, the comittee clarifies that no traces of any form of unlawfull acts were found at the other ministries in the cabinet Nacon II, concluding that the current case is only applicable to the Ministry of Justice, and most specifically the Minister of Justice and her inner circle of trusted adivsors and security agents.

The complete report with evidence will be available for insight to all people; The comittee deems to have fullfilled its tasks and will dissolve as of now. I thank you all for your time.’’

''Honourable Parliamentarians,

I hereby would like to inform you that former Minster of Justice Cassandra Lavarin has been arrested for abuse of power and planned murder, along with 23 of her staff members. Mss. Lavarin did not resist during her arrest, and she will be brought to a secret detainment facility to await her trial. In these dark days we must not close our eyes for what is wrong but open our arms for what truly counts: Justice and democracy.

Thank you.''

First of all we invite the authorities to analyze the rests of the people killed during the black ops lead by Mrs Lavarin to check if the 7 Baltusian are among the victims.

Than, we ask to the Minister of Interior to follow the search/investigation of the Law enforcement agences to find these people.

Thank you"

MessagePrime Minister Vittoria Nacon:

''Dear people of Istalia,

The last months have been overshadowed by negative events. My own Minister of Justice was found to have planned targeted assaults in the name of justice without informing me or any other governmental instute. I know many of you feel that I have not overseen mss. Lavarin well enough, and that i am responsible for what she has done. I want to say that what she did is unforgivable and corruptive. Such acts do not belong in a modern, democratic cabinet like Istalia's. Many of you point fingers at my party's direction, and state that it was the fault of the party leadership for having no control over its Ministers. Therefore, I want to adress the nation for an important message:

As Prime Minister, I am the highest responsible for the acts of my Minsters and its consequences. Even though mss. Lavarin's acting was against the law and corrupt, I am still responsible.
To answer for the Istalian people, I can not justify these acts if i would not resign. Therefore, I hereby announce my resignation as of 1 October 4283.

*Sniffs*

It has been the greatest honour to serve as your Prime Minister, and represent our wonderful nation as well as defending it. Together with my cabinet, we have achieved great things, but also had to face difficulties, which we solved with the best of our abilities. I know some people might disagree with me, but I can tell you I have done everything in my power to protect Istalians during my term as Prime Minister, and I hope my successor will do the same. I wish the Istalian people the best in their search for a new Prime Minster, and I thank each and every one of you for an amazing 15 years. I also want to thank all opposition parties for their constant critic but pragmatic debates that have helped shaping the nation as it is now. But most of all, i want to thank our soldiers, the people who protect our norms and values and who are willing to give their lives for the peacefull daily life in Istalia. My deepest respect goes out to them and I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for their service for this country.

As I adress you now for the very last time, I apologize for those who have lost faith in the government. I know it is hard to believe that there are still honest people in politics after the outbreak of a scandal of this size. However, I want you to know that even though im not guilty but responsible, I resigned to show that i will fight until my very last breath to protect honesty, transparency and integrity in every aspect of Istalian politics. I will adress the Parliament soon and will then hand over my tasks to LP Senate Leader Harun Al-Sahel, who will become acting Prime Minsiter as of 1 October.

I wish all of you the best. Viva la repubblica!''

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election.
