Message | By leaving the government out entirely, it means essentially the same thing as what you proposed, but your proposal requires approval and registration with the government. I suggest just leaving the government out because it is not our business. |

Message | We understand your position, but we feel that establishing this as actual policy better entrenches this right as well as provides certain legal protections for citizens to be able to make this choice themselves. |

Message | There is no greater protection for the rights of the people than to keep government out of it entirely. We are leaving it up to the individuals on how they want to run their marital life independent of government licensing and contracts. |

Message | Government recognition can grant a strong endorsement when it comes to the granting of benefits, certain inheritance issues as well workplace protections. We very much commend your defense and position, it is very admirable, we just feel that a defined and established policy could provide better protections. We also want to hear from the other parties before we make any further decision concerning this legislation. |

Message | When this comes to the floor, the LP will vote in favor unless another party can provide good argument otherwise. We are not opposed to this at all, just simply exploring both sides to clarify our position on this. |

Message | We will be moving this to the floor, though we will welcome any future debate on returning to the current model if this motion passes. We also feel introducing this to the floor will perhaps draw attention to the vote itself. |
