Bill: Congressional Compensation reform of 4285

Details

Submitted by[?]: Legitimist Alliance

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 4285

Description[?]:

Serving your your nation as one of it's represented leaders is a calling, not a career choice.

Thus it is the opinion of The League that in order to reconnect the members of congress to the people they supposedly serve it would be prudent to motivate them to take on jobs outside of congress.

The taxpayers footing the bill for a congressman's supper and a new pair of shoes make no sense, let the men and women of congress be citizens before they are members of our governing body.

The League of Nobles have practiced this since our foundation.
I, the Hegemon of our party still go to my bank office every day after hours to pour over documents my employees leave for me, i still take calls from my clients to answer their financial questions, and all of my party members do this to a certain extent as well.

All this while still representing twelve and a half million people every day from five to six, i think it's high time the rest of congress follow suit.

Long live the empire

Berengar Hohenfels-Lauvain, Hegemon
