| Royaume-Uni Canrillaise de Lourenne has threatened to establish a naval blockage around our coast. This would be a violation of our trading rights as a free and sovereign nation. If Lourenne wishes not to trade with us this is their prerogative, however they have no right to prevent us from trading with other nations. The President therefore asks the Senate to give him the authority to declare war in the event this blockade is established. The declaration of war will trigger the activation of the Republican Guard and the conscription of civilians not vital to the continued functioning of the economy into this service. The declaration will be considered in effect as soon as we have the votes in the Senate, even if the bill itself has not officially passed. |
