Senators, AFFIRMING the the grand spiritual and religious heritage of the Pontesian Nation, and the important role this has played historically. RECOGNIZING the need for some form of official recognition of our religious heritage. WE SOLEMNLY ESTABLISH the following Law on the Spiritual and Religious Establishment: I. The State and its institutions will not force any religious practices upon anyone, but will require each citizen to declare a 'Guru' from any mentally sound and non-fascist philosophical, spiritual or religious tradition, in their tax audits each year. II. These shall receive a tithe determined by the Satrapies, that may not rise above 1% of the citizen's annual net income. III. The State and its institutions shall agree to protect and nourish the traditional ethnic religions of our country - Felinism, Geraja and Religio Seluciana - as well as legal and law-abiding mentally sane Hosian institutions. IV. The State shall retain its veto power in not recognizing or prohibiting the activities alien religious traditions that promote violence and oppression and pose a danger to our social harmony.
