Bill: Local Policing Act of May 4287

Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 4288
Description[?]:
Laws are one of the defining characteristics of civilization. Without the ability to enforce them however, they become meaningless. Under the guise of unity, locals are left to become mere decimals in a federal statistic - under the mercy of federal planners. By giving locals the power to determine their own policing solutions, they can apply local solutions to local problems. |

Message | Mr. Speaker While we agree fundamentally with many of these issues, we can support this Bill as is as its strips powers from the Hutorian Federal Police Service which works under federal mandate. By giving these powers exclusively over to local and provincial government it runs counter to their own mandate to enforce federal law. While we support our coalition partners in many regards to solutions of devolution we can not support this. Aaron Graham Minister of Justice |
