Bill: Right to Protection

Details

Submitted by[?]: Whig Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 4289

Description[?]:

This bill proposes ending the authoritarian policy of restricting the rights of free citizens to own weapons. To quote a great man "A free and armed populace is the best defense against tyranny.

Restricting the rights of citizens to own firearms only decreases the safety of the law abiding public since criminals inherently don't obey the law and will still obtain weapons. Citizens should be able to defend their towns, neighborhoods, and homes from agitators, and they have a natural right to bear arms.
