Bill: Debate on the Dalibor Crisis

Details

Submitted by[?]: Dorvische Kommunistische Partei

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 4296

Description[?]:

Comrades,

The nation of Dalibor has been brought to its knees and had its blood sucked dry by the tyrannical and parasitical Hyperion Corporation, which has driven the country to bankruptcy and brought the people to poverty and ruin.

In response to this desperate situation, we propose the following:

- Dorvik should use its seat on the Security Council to push for the Hyperion Corporation to be classified as an international criminal organisation.

- Dorvik should impose a complete economic embargo on the Hyperion Corporation and the illegal Dalibor government.

- Dorvik should offer the Proletarian Liberation Front full diplomatic support, as well as assistance in terms of arms, equipment and monetary aid.

Friedrich Pfeiffer
General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party

OOC: Check out the Dalibor news thread, particularly the most recent news articles. http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=7614

Also, please note the Dalibor player's request for no large-scale military interventions.

MessageSo these communists, who have no representation in the State Council wish to spend millions, billions on sending "arms, equipment and monetary aid" to a country we have had little to do with. Sounds...plausible [AfD members laugh]

These communists should be ashamed of themselves and their cause! Not only do they wish to cripple our economy but wish to be involved in every global "crisis." They are a disgrace, their cause is a disgrace, they disgrace the nation!

[AfD Members loudly cheer]

MessageThe communists are enemies of the people of Dorvik and friends to the people of socialist countries. They’re entirely self-interested hypocritical shuffling shambles. Get back to your postage stamps.

MessageThe Communists surely know that the Council cannot authorise this: the applicable ministers must agree? And the President? I mean, this is basically entering war... And, as one of the appropriate ministers... This isn't happening.

MessageHyperion has not broken our laws, so we cannot take such extreme action. It would send the message that we are hawkish and warlike.
