| Members of the State Council, After my party and our allies secured a majority of the popular vote and seats in the election earlier this year, we formed a conservative government to get things done for Dorvik. We stand for a message: Dorvik's democracy, Dorvik's freedom, Dorvik's culture must never be cast aside. It is imperative that we fight to protect freedom and democracy. That is why we must build our international relations and endorse democracies, not rogue states. Freedom, not oppression. We will be looking to create new international trade treaties this term, in order to get those international relationships to push for freedom worldwide. Dorvik is a wealthy and prosperous nation, and in this term my government will be dedicated to making sure everyone can share in that wealth and prosperity. We want to cut regulations and taxes for small businesses so that our budding entrepreneurs can enrich themselves, their employees and their consumers. That is the Dorvish dream, and that is the dream that I will always stand for. We must also balance the rights of our people in work with our push for growth. That means having simple regulation that works for all in our society, which help our workers but do not hurt our businessmen and businesswomen. Dorvik is a nation of laws, and we all must respect those laws. I was disappointed to see Kordusia this month, but I hope this will be resolved soon. Alongside those laws, Dorvik is a nation of liberty, and so this government will work for religious, civil and economic rights. But Dorvik is also a nation of unity and family, where every young man and woman should be driven, optimistic and ambitious. That is the Dorvik we want to achieve, and it is achieved by unity, laws and liberty. I think that is not a fever dream, that is real and achievable. | Message | Comrades, This is called a "State of the Republic speech", but it would be better and more accurately described as a "State of Capitalism speech", since that is what it essentially is - the President's entire concern is with advancing the interests of the bourgeois capitalist elite and attempting to postpone the ultimate collapse of capitalism for as long as possible. This President does not care for the Republic, does not care for democracy and does not care for the ordinary Dorvish people.
