MessageCongress,

Holding a gun to the company, specifying that they should pay a 14-year-old working 2 hours on a Saturday in his aunt's cafe "well above the poverty line for a full-time worker", forcing them to lay him off in favour of fewer, higher-paid workers is an absolutely absurd notion.

Lifting people out of poverty and into better-paid jobs is done through growing GDP faster and boosting the economy, not putting people out of work.
