MessageOOC: Trying to establish some identity to Malivia, since we have created Geraja based off of Hindu, we see Malivia abit like a little India, with the northern central area mountains and the flat coastal areas. Thus we went with the Indian name for Provinces.

MessageWe (CD) speak for the minority of christians in Malivia, bare in mind that christianity is growing stronger in Malivia (with the influence of Rome).
Religion should be free and be seperated from the state.
Therefore we will not support this as it leans to much to hinduism.
It would not be democratic, cause ppl from an other religion could see this as an insult.

MessageI think the CD has missed the point as it is not the hindu aspect that the name change is supporting rather cultural history of Malivia. (OOC: just trying to give Maliva some sort of culture cohesion, also where is Rome in Terra)

MessageThe CD is obviously unawhere of the religious ratio in Malivia. The isn't a very large religious majority, there are almost equal parts Lutheran as there as Geraja. Who is larger depends who you ask.

OOC: The is a Terran Rome, called Rom I believe but I forget in what country. It one of the ones who has a party that RPs as a Pope.

MessageThese titles are just symbolic, whether we call them provinces, pradesh or states, it doens't matter. We agree with the Protectorates that this would give the nation of Malivia some more cultural cohesion.

MessageWe are against the change as we believe this is merely another brick in the Protectorates attempt to install a theocracy within the Federation.

As to the national sport, the tide of change has swept over us all and it shall stay!

OOC: It is actually Nova Roma in Cobura. The Unification of the Catholic Faith under one church is under way. Also, please remember that there are some Catholics/Christians within the Federation as well. (numbers are below those mentioned above, but larger than the Duntrekkers).

MessageOOC: Lutheranism is a denomination of Protestism. Martin Luther started the reformation, Luther ---> Lutheran.

The fact that the etymology of 'Pradesh' has Hindu roots is not under this bill a reflection of the practice of provincial roots but is in fact in honour of the traditional ancient history of Malivia. Pradesh is purely a Malivian linguistic term.

In this bill their is no attempt that is usually characteristic of the Protectorate Party to restrain are freedoms and impose their religion but only an uncharacteristically innocent attempt to remember our heritage and language.

This bill has the FPA's full support.

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators.

Random quote: "I do not believe in the creed professed by the Jewish church, by the Roman church, by the Greek church, by the Turkish church, by the Protestant church, nor by any church that I know of. My own mind is my own church." - Thomas Paine
