Bill: Luxury Sales Tax Review 4294

Details

Submitted by[?]: Alternative für Dorvik

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 4295

Description[?]:

After consultation with experienced economists and business leaders, the Finance ministry proposed an amendment to the current rate of sales tax. Due to the success of the AfD and finance minister, Alice Schonfeld in the Finance ministry, we are currently experiencing a near 5 Billion surplus. We believe we should reward the people by reducing the current rate of sales tax by 1%. It will benefit the economy and the people.

MessageSo the 5 billion DDO surplus doesn't go to spending increases, in fact the AfD want cuts, it goes to the richest people?

Alice Schonfeld has been the worst Finance Minister in recent Dorvish history. Unneeded cuts, odd spending proposals and cuts on prices of yachts and mansions. It's a resounding failure.

MessageIf the Pragmatists would pay attention to our proposal, they would take into account that items such as coffee and tea are classed as luxury items. I wouldn't call these "rich" items. The Pragmatists are so incompetent they don't understand that. We have turned this economy around, and if the Pragmatists don't understand that, we suggest they resign their position in government.

MessageYou do not support the government, you and your crystal ball are risking communism.

You have not 'turned the economy around'. You've passed nothing, your budget proposal was a joke, you never consulted with other members of the government and then you call an election out of nowhere because you think you know what the public thinks all of the time.

You have held four ministries while we have held the Presidency and six other ministries. Are you really going to say that you are responsible for everything the government does right?

MessageThis, http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=542793, is a joke. It had no basis in economic reality, it made cuts that weren't needed and it was laughed out of this building.

MessageMr Speaker,

The Pragmatists must stop telling petty lies! They have accused the AfD of "not passing anything," well I suppose passing the banking system privatisation counts for nothing, a proposal they supported. [AfD members howl with laughter]

And as for the Pragmatists other comments, we have never claimed that we are responsible for everything the government has done well. We take responsibility for high employment [cheers], low taxes [cheers], more new businesses [cheers] and a 5 Billion surplus [loud cheers]!

We repeat our suggestion, resign from government and allow the true voice of conservatism to run the country! [AfD members wave papers in air, cheering loudly]

MessageI don't need pantomime to prove my point, Madam. Most of the economic reform this session has been from our benches.

Rises in employment are from deregulation which both of our parties have proposed. You haven't changed the tax system, and you haven't changed the budget. I think the entire government

Who, in your maths, replaces us? Are you going to form a minority government? Please, enlighten us with some AfD mathematics on how a non-communist deal without us works.

MessageThe governing right-wing parties are bickering and arguing with each other even in public now. This is a further sign that the inherent contradictions of capitalism are bringing the whole system crashing to the ground.

Glory to the workers! Long live Communism!

MessageYou seem not to realise that your side of the coin is doing the same. At least the right is capable of forming a government: who will you side with? The party that formed literally out of hatred for you?

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass.
