Bill: Constitutional Reform Act 4296

Details

Submitted by[?]: Alternative für Dorvik

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 4296

Description[?]:

Esteemed members of the State Council,

We encourage all parties to restore democracy to Dorvik by supporting this motion. The AfD proposes that a free, democratic republic where every vote counts. It will encourage discussion, debate and consensus which greatly contrasts the current system where one person holds the balance of power. It devolves power from the president to a democratically elected chamber of democratically elected representatives.

MessageFor God's sake, you can propose a bill and justify it without the drivel, thank you. 'Restore democracy'? Dorvik is a democracy! 'Free, democratic republic where every vote counts'? We have that already!

You don't need to use platitudes and lies to justify what we can justify in two words: political flexibility.

MessageThis will likely let the Communists take control. At least with an elected President they can be kept out!

MessageIt's the other way around. If they get the Presidency, there'd be no way to keep them out of government.
