Bill: Unity Cabinet Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Die Linke

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 4298

Description[?]:

Now more than ever, Dorvik needs the State Council to unite. This Cabinet gives the power to all of our parties, and allows us to tackle the problems Dorvik faces united as one State Council.

Despite all of our differing ideologies, we have all come here to do one thing. Represent the people of Dorvik and serve them. This is the Cabinet that I believe will give us stable leadership in the coming storm.

MessageOur party will NOT go along with this.
We did want to come closer to either the PKP or the DKP but with both in a cabinet? we believe this will cause to much chaos and instability. We vote against. If someone comes up with a more stable coalition we would gladly vote yes.

MessageThis proposal is ambitious and well-meaning, but I must agree with the DRF that it would probably be impractical in the long-run.

MessageOpposed. My party does not believe in unity governments unless our nation is at war. A Government needs an opposition in Parliament to be able to govern well.
