MessageMr Speaker,

Alongside our bill to reduce defence spending, I am pleased to present a proposal to provide LOD 1bn in tax relief in the bottom tax brackets, which all citizens must pay. A modest adjustment for those on the very highest incomes will also help balance this spending, and ensure that benefit is concentrated on those for whom it would have the most impact.
