Bill: Communism and Mental Health Detainment Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Haruzuterēchisuku Refonpātī
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 4302
Description[?]:
Party members, It is clear, that despite our best efforts we have not yet been able to fully eradicate the disease know as communism within this nation. We know an underground movement exists and it is creating instability at an already turbulent time. I use the word 'disease' very carefully, because it is now our medical experts' belief that communism is a psychological illness that we must expunge from society by preventing its spread and quarantining those who have this illness. Therefore it is our intention to detain indefinitely any who are showing communist traits - at any age - under new mental health laws before they become a threat to themselves or society. This will complement the regulations laid down in the Outlawing of Communist Parties law currently in place in our country: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=534215 People will be observed at school by teachers, monitored at work by supervisors and line managers and scrutinised in other areas of their lives to ensure that they are not embracing communism. I ask members of the Reichstag to comment - or show their approval - on this, if they so wish, before it is passed into law. Reichskanzler Leopold Nimitz. |

Message | Herr Sholz, I am disturbed to see that you vote against this very necessary anti-communist policy, which is welcomed by all patriotic citizens in Hulstria, Does this not demonstrate that you do indeed have communist sympathies and that you are now sailing dangerously close to the wind? Message | Honorable Reichskanzler Leopold Nimitz, The Radikale Fraktion opposes this bill as it casts too wide a net in our mind, and carries out actions which deeply overblow the issue to a massive scale. The nation does not have the money to throw at such a vast and overblown surveillance and detainment effort, which we doubt will do much to stop the spread of Communist thought. Indeed if we look at history such an act is more likely to strengthen their cause by lumping the extreme and moderate left together into one illegal group. Hence we must not support this bill. Message | Then Herr Scholz, the party would like to task you with finding another solution to the eradication of the communist scum and their ideology. If it is deemed more effective by the party we will gladly implement it instead. We would be encouraged to see you do this as it would indeed reinforce your credentials as a true patriot.
