Bill: Defence Industries Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Dorvische Kommunistische Partei
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 4303
Description[?]:
Dorvik should move in the direction of putting her defence industry under national ownership and national control, rather than allowing big private companies to rip off the Ministry of Defence. The Dorvish state can produce the armaments and equipment it needs much cheaper on its own. Also, when it comes to using private companies, there are often national security implications at stake, since some of the details of defence production are meant to be classified. Anton Weinreich General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party |

Message | Mr. Chairman, This is an excellent proposal! The state should own its own industries to ensure the production of weaponry and ammunition can be adjusted to the state's and army's need instead of company's that become to influential and use to high prices to bring our budget to all time highs. This way we can regulate price and demand! excellent! And private company's are also allowed giving them the oppurtunity to come with better deals then previously thanks to our new industries! Random quote: "Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man gainst his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American...[T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people." - Tenche Coxe |
