| Party Members, It has been a turbulent few years. We have battled valiantly to preserve our nation's integrity despite the unwarranted growing hostility of the international community and have had to face up to the internal hostilities of the communists and now the Septembrists, who spread their seditious lies in an attempt to destabilise our great country. Further, we have taken a leading role in the prevention of the spread of the Oriental Disease to many parts of the developed with out bold move to take control of neighbouring Ostland and instigate a containment policy there. A thankless task but one that has saved millions of lives. However, the upheaval has been damaging and led to a fractious Party. For the first time in many decades I feel as if there are moves afoot within our great organisation for change of direction - or a different ideology - and that is not what we need. Unity is the key word now because I intend to take this nation on an even bolder journey and without the full party support I cannot do that. My aim is to firstly take complete and legal control of the northern provinces of Ostland so they become a part of Hulstria and allow for the expansion of our population there, whilst setting up a permanent protectorate in the south governed by our allies. Secondly, it is my intention to seize the moment and advance into North Verham, take control of the migration problem there and form a second protectorate. This will expand our territory significantly, our resource base too and strategically give us access to many port towns on the Caltropic Lakes. I can only do this with the support and mandate of party members. Therefore on the advice of my key advisors I feel obliged to call a leadership election immediately and ask for a vote of confidence. From the factions that emerge I will form a unity cabinet from all factions to take us forward in potential conflict. My fate lies in your hands! Reichskanzler Leopold Nimitz |
