Message | Mr. Speaker, I can assure the honourable gentleman that this government is committed to fighting for working Hutorians; Article 2 is unnecessary and would in reality only push back progress on workers' rights. This party would be willing to vote for this bill if Articles 2 and 6 were removed. In return for the removal of Article 6, we would be willing to support the extension of Article 5 to give all trade unions the right to secondary action. Joseph Green Chancellor of Hutori |

Message | Mr. Speaker While we admit some of these articles have merit, some of these changes are overall too dangerous to the Hutorian economy; Articles 6 in particular has far reaching implications not just for the Hutorian economy but for Hutorian society; by giving Police Officers, Fire Fighters and Healthcare Professionals in particular the unlimited ability to strike that could overall harm Hutorian security and people should a general strike of these professions occur. As long as Article 6 is in the Bill we will automatically vote against this Bill, but are willing to discuss the rest should it be removed. Jackson Carvery Royalist Trade & Industry Critic MP for Tremaine Centre |

Message | Mr. Green and Mr. Carvey, We have removed Articles 2 and 6 from our proposal and have extended Article 5 to include all unions. We hope that your parties will now come to support our bill. --Aaren Matthews, Radical Candidate for Trade and Industry |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We disagree with this bill due to the fact that it seeks to rob local governments of their ability to self-govern salary caps. We agree with Article 1 and 4 however. Article 3 is unnecessary and should be covered by local income taxation and or state enterprise profits. - Lyn Kopp Ambassador of the Ataraxian Confederation |
Date | 16:26:41, November 22, 2017 CET | From | Radicals | To | Debating the Union Revitalization Act |
Message | Mr. Kopp, I will gladly remove Article 3, but I do not understand why you would rather support giving local governments the power to decide on salary caps when it clearly should be decided on by those in the workplace. They have better knowledge of the situation regarding salary caps and should have the right to decide on where they should be. Why should local governments, separated from the interests of the worker, and not labour unions and employers, decide on salary caps? Aaren Matthews Radical Candidate for Trade and Industry |
Date | 16:28:07, November 22, 2017 CET | From | Hutori Party | To | Debating the Union Revitalization Act |
Message | Mr Speaker, We cannot support this bill due to article 3. From our understanding this change would allow unions to go on strike simply to support other striking unions. Why would it be okay for a union of one company's employees going on strike to support another company's employees? It would lead to many unnecessary strikes. We will not vote in favour of this bill. Riley Hill Leader of the Centrist Party of Hutori MP for Greater Prosperity West |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Remember, by giving local governments the right to decide on salary caps, they also have the right to give such governance over to the workers. This policy respects the right to self-determination. - Lyn Kopp Ambassador of the Ataraxian Confederation |
Date | 18:33:43, November 22, 2017 CET | From | Radicals | To | Debating the Union Revitalization Act |
Message | Mr. Kopp, While that is true, it is not guaranteed. I would rather guarantee the rights of workers directly instead of trusting local governments to do it. We have already compromised quite a bit on this bill, and any more will make it null and void. Aaren Matthews Radical Candidate for Trade and Industry |

Message | Mr. Speaker, It is not about trust, it is about respecting the right for locals to determine their own policies. While this bill proposes only a few changes, it proposes yet another decrease in local autonomy. As firm believers in self-governance, we will not support any bill that seeks to reduce local autonomy, no matter what it claims to support. - Lyn Kopp Ambassador of the Ataraxian Confederation |

Message | Mr. Kopp Please bare in mind Parliamentary procedure when you are choosing to speak in this House. You are referring all questions to me and this Chair, not directly to other members. Justin Long Speaker of the Parliament |
