It is no right for a teacher or educational professional to strike a child in the name of disciplinary action. Such a power, such a right, should only be bestowed upon the individual child's parent/guardian. |

| Message | Herr Huspresident, We agree that this law should hold and be obligatory for the schools that are run by the government. But, in line with what the NA notes in their description about "a right that should only be bestowed upon the individual child's parent/guardian.", it is the Kjerne long-range policy that all schools shall be private, that parents and students may choose their school, and that the schools may mould their own profiles, as long as they comply with the general laws of the land. The kind and intensity of violence that is forbidden under our general law, will automatically be forbidden in schools. For now we will abstain, regarding this bill as redundant, as long as we have satisfactory general laws concerning the use of violence. -Roald Storstrand (Kj) |
