Bill: Agricultural Collectivisation Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Dorvische Kommunistische Partei

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 4310

Description[?]:

Mr. Chairman,

The disgustingly unfair distribution of land, wealth and power in Dorvish agriculture has fuelled both agricultural inefficiency, rural poverty and social unrest. There is only one long-term solution to this problem, which is that the Dorvish agriculture system should be collectivised, meaning it should be run by state-owned farms, under the collective control of their workers.

Anton Weinreich
General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party

MessageMr. Chairman,

Do you want to cripple our agricultural sector? This will lower productivity and effiency and will cost us dearly.
In the name of the south and the entire sector i say no!

MessageMr. Chairman,

Yeah alright I mean this seems cool. If the State is worrying about farms and things that means we can worry about growing the real important things, yeah?

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature.
