Bill: A Free and Fair Trial for the Disadvantaged Accused Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Unsubmissive Beluzian Workers Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 4310
Description[?]:
Our judiciary system has completely broken down due to massive budget cuts, and due to the fact that every ruling in the past two decades have been in favour of the defendant, either because of biases or because of manipulation of forensic evidence, which denies the accused a chance to make their case. This has caused an influx of prisoners in our once empty prisons, and has caused violent crime rates to increase from 25.8 to 2989.8 that is 2989.8 crimes reported per 100,000 population, and property crime to rise from 35.9 to 9868.9. This is not because the prisoners are criminals. This is because the prison rehabilitation programs encourage criminal actions! This is shocking for a nation who is known for their love for their prisoners and gives them a chance to integrate back into society. Instead of helping, the previous government has worsened the situation more! We must reduce prison rates and the only way to do this is to break down the prison industrial complex through fair trials |
