MessageWe are continuing with our plan of reducing spending as a percentage of GDP. Despite this, the government's target for spending has increased from 20% of GDP to 22% of GDP due to our military intervention in the Hulstrian Civil War. Our GDP currently stands at 402,743,472,728 ALO, meaning our target is to reduce spending to 88.6bn ALO. This budget proposal does exactly that.

We have proposed a freeze to the science and technology budget, as we are planning to invest in our military even more to make sure we are equipped to defend ourselves. Part of the science and technology budget will be used for research and development for the military, as proposed by the Ministry of Defence. We are also proposing a 12% increase to our defence budget, or an increase from 5.2% of GDP to 5.8% of GDP, due to our involvement in Hulstria.
