Status[?]: passed

Voting deadline: July 4311

Description[?]:

[OOC: Please let me bore you:
Here I have really done nothing other than look a bit into what would be a realistic budget and made according changes. But I have not changed any post from the last budget more than +100% or -50%, except *Foreign affairs* which I think was very low due to an accident, so it has been raised 300%.
Since Particracy is supposed to be set in a realistic modern world and Kazulia has "laws of the land" that are very much in line with a modern "western" RL country, the budget should in some measure resemble such a RL country.
But if it really did, I think the post for *Health and Social Services* would make up more than half the budget.

It is to be expected that in a game played by young, and not so young, men the military budget will be throbbing huge. We don't have very aggressive policies in place -no chemical weapons, no use nuclears - but compared with GDP, at 300B we used to have a defence budget level higher than any RL country, now with 200B we're at Saudi Arabia level, second biggest RL spender after Oman. If we change to 100B, we're at top 6 RL level - Israel and Russia. A USA level would be ca 60B.

I haven't been super-ambitious going through everything, and am not expert.
I know all this means nothing in the game, so it gets pretty boring, but... it is here in the game. So... might as well tweak it a bit into realism, if we can, eh? I learn a bit in the process at least.]

Herr Huspresident,

Phew, all these zeroes, it is really a drag. I wish we could devalue the KKR, just cut off a few zeroes.
Well, this will provide a balanced budget. If any party has complaints let us know.

-Arvid Horn, Minister of Finance

For reference i present some interesting comparisons on military expenditure as % of GDP according to the World Bank.

I simply use the numbers in the game for GDP and defence budget. All countries on our continent would be on the top ten list of the RL world for military spending.

Random fact: "Game mechanics comes first." For example, if a currently-enforced bill sets out one law, then a player cannot claim the government has set out a contradictory law.

Random quote: "All history has been a history of class struggles between dominated classes at various stages of social development." - Friedrich Engels
