MessageMr. Speaker,

While devolving powers to regional governments can be beneficial, giving them the abilities to infringe on the rights of innocent citizen by having the police invade their property and legalise the barbaric practice of dueling are completely nonsensical.

How dare the NDP propose such a bill to this Congress??

We cannot and shall not remove such power to the States. This is their democratic right to exercise such power

It is the democratic right of regions to allow their citizens to murder one another?

We don’t know yet the opinions of the local government of such an issue because there is simply no Local government established yet.

How can they chose the legality of dueling when there are no such assemblies?

That’s why the Conservatives are proposing a legislation which will try to solve this problem by next election.

A Devolution Bill to be precise.

Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. the [Socialist Party] has lost.
