Bill: Cabinet Proposal of November 4311

Details

Submitted by[?]: Kjerne

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 4312

Description[?]:

Uhum, Herr Huspresident,

NA has been disbanded and left the chamber, and their ministers have left the government. In this situation, there are various interpretations of the constitution and customary law.
Some say that we should be obliged to hold new elections as soon as possible, others that we must form a new cabinet with a new Head of Government. As we stand now, it is the King who is both Head of State and Head of Government.
We put forward this proposal for a continuation of the current minority government.
We would need one or two more parties to vote for it to pass.
I think the ball lies again at the feet of Alliansen, but I call on all parties to take a stand - vote for this, or come with other solutions, so that we can get a constitutional working government.

Roald Storstrand, Minister of Justice

Random fact: There are two countries based on Egypt in the game. Cobura is based on modern Egypt with a retro twist, while Hawu Mumenhes is based on Ancient Egypt with a modernist twist.

Random quote: "If we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people to not kill each other? Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want." - Mother Teresa of Calcutta quotes
