MessageMr. Speaker,

the President is being elected in an utmost democratic way. We do not need two seperate leaders in our nation. This would only bring us confusion and issues on power and responsibility. We have one leader now, who represents the nation and all members of Presidium. It is those members of Presidium who, chosen i a democratic way, govern this nation. They choose their Ministers and their President.
It seems to me that there is no better way of doing this. If the President should loose the support of the Presidium, he can be empeached in a very simple ad easy way. There would be no need for early elections, which might even cause that same person being elected again.
This system only has advantages.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The LPA have supported this structure of the executive branch for hundreds of years. We had such a structure when Lodamun was a Federal Republic, and it served us well. We have never believed that the the powers of head of state and head of government should be held by one person. This is a dangerous arrangement and extremely undemocratic.

If this bill does not pass, we will be more than willing to work with the LDP and other supporters to ensure we return to this structure in the future.

MessageMr. Speaker,

I don't get Mrs. Atkinson. We all know that it is far more dangerous if two people are at the top, as we say. Don't forget that the Head of State can block the formation of a coalition in the proposed system. Does that sound democratic?
