Description[?]:

Party Members,

The Reichskanzler has instructed me to outline his plan for obtaining better food yields and to help feed our brave armed forces at this difficult time.

We must firstly reduce the costly and time consuming regulations on food products; it is imperative we deal with hunger first and, as such, legislation must be placed on the back burner until a time when food is not so scarce.

Secondly, we must look to increase our labour force to complement the teams of Class C citizens working the land. We therefore believe that the current child labour laws should be removed thus allowing people under the age of 18 to work in the same way as adults. To this end, we would propose that every boy, aged between 11 and 15 (15 being the age at which they are currently conscripted), be put to work in agriculture and every girl, 12 to 18, in armament factories.

The Reichskanzler is certain this will allow these young people to share in the patriotic fervour of the nation and experience great pride, safe in the knowledge they are doing their bit for the war effort.

MessageHerr Innenminister,

With all due respect to the Reichskanzler, I cannot in good conscience consent to child labour. It is downright inhumane and contrary to the teachings of the Hosian faith.

MessageAnd what would the Lord say if we allowed our soldiers to starve or we capitulated to a god-forsaken enemy, Right Reverend Bishop Kohlmann?

No, we must all be prepared to do our duty for our country - whatever that entails.

MessageWell, Herr Innenminister, a man less skilled in exegesis would say that the Lord would say "Sheathe thy sword, for they that live by the sword will thy thusly."

MessageIndeed, Bishop Kohlmann... and you may well be right. Unfortunately, we are where we are, and if you will indulge my amateurish theological ramblings, it seems we must reap what we have sown - for the enemy is now not prepared to turn the other cheek.
