| Members of the Staten-General, Stephen LeSnood is a dangerous man who is ought to be imprisoned for life. I charge him with the accounts of terrorism, plotting and successfully carrying out 2 terrorist attacks, murder, corruption, attempted rebellion (unlawful assembly), bribery, defamation of character, slander and distributing pornography containing bestiality (the man depicted in the video has been disproven to be Former Treasurer Douglas Newton). I ask all members of the Staten-General to vote for this terrorist to be imprisoned for life, without bail, and to uphold the safety of the Saridanese people. | Message | Mr Rodwell & Members of the Staten-General, The events of the past few weeks have shocked and saddened our nation. Saridan has, over the past decade, become a much more open and tolerant society, a society where acts of violence are abhorred as assaults on the fundamentals of our democracy. All our thoughts are with the families of those affected by these attacks. Politics can often be fierce and unrelenting, but at its best it provides a voice for those with none & includes those who have been excluded. There is however a place for politics to stop & that place is in the courtroom. Defendants must be tried and sentenced by independent judges, free from political interference. | Message | OOC: I have received complaints over the way I have taken RP and I do not want any further conflict so I am changing the way that the roleplay is headed to respect the right of people roleplaying their own characters. Members of the Staten-General, I am Gerald Van den Berg, Head of the Federal Terrorism Investigative Inquiry and Cheif Inquisitor of the Ministry of Justice. It has come to my attention that the results of the investigation into this “attack” do not match up with what is reported to have happened. Our investigation has found that there was no evidence indicating any form of explosive device to have existed in any of the vehicles prior to the vehicles blowing up. There were also no human remains found in any of the three vehicles and sightings of Gregory Uberstein have been reported in Mordusia to which we are investigating seeing how money is being withdrawn from his and the other victims accounts on a daily basis. Despite all of this, I find this legislation unconstitutional and the powers of the Staten-General do not include the right to determine the outcome of a legal case, which is why I welcome Cheif Justice Walter Janssen of the Saridanese Supreme Court to affirm his position on this piece of legislation. *Gerald Van den Berg steps aside for Walter Janssen to speak* On behalf of the Supreme Court, I and the other justices have deemed this bill unconstitutional and therefore will have no effect on Mr. LeSnood until he is tried by the court through a legal case. Until then, LeSnood is completely innocent and has no criminal record. As well as this I find the actions of Douglas Newton quite suspicious and I will be keeping a very close eye on the investigations. Thank you for your time. |
