Bill: New Malivian Budget
Details
Submitted by[?]: Greater Malivia Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 4317
Description[?]:
Right now, Malivia is in a deficit, this, along with the also proposed tax bill, will rectify said deficit. This bill does the following: 2.5+ increase to Trade and Industry 7B+ increase to Science and Technology 1.5B+ increase to Education and Culture 0.5B+ increase to Justice 11B+ increase to Defense 3B- decrease to Environment and Tourism 10B- decrease to Food and Agriculture 0.1B- decrease to Finance 1.5B- decrease to Foreign Affairs 9B- decrease to Infrastructure and Transport Let me explain the budget decreases first, to begin, the two major ones, Infrastructure and Transport and Food and Agriculture, these departments both had more funding than our Education and Health departments and I believe have misused their massive fund. In addition, the decreases to Finance, Environment and Tourism and Foreign Affairs all represent budget cuts due to our deficit with the decreases to Tourism and Foreign Affairs in line with the Greater Malivia Party's isolationist views. In terms of increases, our defence budget is sorely lacking and due to multiple bills weakening our use of Landmines and WMDs recently, we need to supplement that military loss using funding. Furthermore, our science, education and trade fields, I believe, all require more funding to make sure we can allow progress, education and industrialisation in our country. The small increase to justice allows our courts to be better run. In conclusion, this new budget combats the deficit, strengthens our military and begins the Malivian isolation. |

Message | We are gonna vote yes because we are part of the Governmenr but this will be the last time we support a bill like this, we don't like Malivia isolation and we believe that the current budget for the military is OK. What's true is that a increase in Education and Science will be very positive for our citizens and our development so that's another reason why we vote yes. |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
