Message | Although I understand the necessity to have stewards or other security in place to protect party conferences etc, as far as I am aware there is little in the way of political violence to justify such security. In addition to this the recent consensus on the military is cross-party and doesn't represent a KHU grab for power. |

Message | We see no need for a change in the current legislation. The political environment in Dundorf is a largely peaceful one. The attempt to paint recent legislative moves increasing the ability of the armed forces to respond to external threats as a threat to the security of individual domestic political parties is obscene, so too the inference that the KHU is solely behind any such designs. |

Message | The VKPD respects the peaceful history of Dundorf, but recognizes the need for some form of security. We imagine that paramilitaries could function as semi-independent, unarmed personnel that receive roughly the equivalent of training the police serve. Legislation could be introduced that makes it illegal for parties to arm their security forces with anything stronger or larger than a pistol. If this bill passes, the VKPD would form a security force that would, in our plan, be armed with only tasers, mace, and batons. FIrearms would be strictly prohibited from ownership. If parties so wish it, the outline of this bill could be revised that includes our proposals to limit power of these security forces. But for now, the VKPD leaves our present comments to debate by the other parties. |

Message | We don't recognise any gap in the existing security measures and re-iterate our position that there is no need for the type of legislative change proposed in this Bill. The current system allows for private contractors to operate as security, they also allow the use of police resources with regards to crowd control and the investigation of threats. Unless the VKPD are able to provide any genuine and justifiable grounds for this proposal we will maintain our opposition to it. |
