| Nacia Asembleo of the Respubliko de Zardugalo, Ordinarily the ministry of foreign affairs would take the lead on such an issue, but with the severity of threats made, I, Consul Marcus Antonius Marinus Cato will speak on behalf of myself and the Selucian government instead. The Fascist Regime and the Selucian Right Wing Alliance would like to emphasize its confusion and strong disapproval of the most recent threat made to Selucia by the Zardugal minister of justice. First of all, we question why the minister of justice was interfering with foreign relations. If not the minister of foreign affairs, perhaps the minister of defence, but the minister of justice should not have been harassing the Selucian senate with threats of a full scale military invasion. Not only did the minister of defence threaten an invasion with a force of 500,000 soliders but even went as far as to say this force would "wipe" Selucia "off the map." This is a very grave and serious threat, and calls for a severe and proportional response. At this very moment, the Selucian senate is debating on a bill which will forever strengthen the position of the Selucian Armed Forces, and would therefore like to remind Zardugal that the Selucian Armed Forces are no laughing matter. If Zardugal truly believies they would be able to wipe Selucia off the map with an invasion force of 500,000 soldiers, they should reconsider as such an invasion would only lead to a massive loss of Zardugal lives. The Selucian government would also like to bring the attention of the Nacia Asembleo to the 'Selucian and Zardugal Friendship Treaty' as written by Liberal Party of Selucia in the year 3755. This treaty was ratified by both Selucia and Zardugal, and was meant to encourage "friendly and cordial" relations between our nations. Specifically, we'd like to look at article IV section 1 which states that "should disputes arise both nations pledge to solve them peacefully." We believe Zardugal has crossed the line with their most recent threat, and has violated the diplomatic treaty of friendship. Because of the severity of the threat made by the Zardugal minister of justice and its violation of the 'Selucian and Zardugal Friendship Treaty' the Selucian Right Wing Alliance will seek to withdraw Selucia from the mentioned treaty and halt all friendly diplomatic relations between our two nations. If a formal apology is made within 2 months we may reconsider. We expect this apology to be sent by either the ministry of foreign affairs or the Prezidanto de la Respubliko Viktoria Apostolido. If no apology is made we will move forwards with the cancellation of the treaty and will not pay any of the expenses related to displacements from agreements under the treaty. | Message | Honourable Members of the Senate of Selucia, I would like to iterate to Selucians that the Minister of Justice of Zardugal, Euphemia "Ekzorcista" Aleksandra had acted alone in making these unacceptable threats, without neither the mandate nor knowledge of my Government. The Zardugal that my government is building is a peaceful state, which resolves disputes through fair diplomacy. I have thus accepted the resignation of Minister Aleksandra and that of my Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Antonis. Nonetheless, my Government has watched with concern the alarming developments in Selucia. We have taken note that citizens have been stripped unduly of their rights by the new far-right government in power. This recent prospect of attacking the Holy See is equally unsettling. My government unequivocally condemns these actions, and will in short time severe its formal ties with the Fascist components of Selucia. We call on all Selucians to recognize the rights and dignities inherent to all humans by resisting the actions of their current government.
