Description[?]:

Party Members,

I can inform you that Leopold Nimitz is no longer in a position to head up the Party and is, therefore, no longer Reichskanzler of Hulstria.

I have informed Her Imperial Majesty who has asked me to work with you all to decide our next steps.

Herr Nimitz ordered that Maximillian Bachberg of the Black Faction be named as his successor and that we do not surrender to the enemy.

However, we must also consider unconditional surrender to save our capital, our people and our armed forces from more bloodshed. I ask you to instruct me regarding our next step.

MessageHerr Aussenminister,

We are of course startled by this sudden incapacitation of Herr Nimitz and would appreciate more information on what happened.

I think that, with all due respect to his memory, we cannot stand against these forces. Having served in our armed forces, I can say that there is no military way to win this conflict. Regrettably, we must now consider an unconditional surrender - by all accounts, any accommodation is an opportunity long gone.

I would also like to strenuously object to appointing Herr Bachberg. That would be a starting pistol on our final obliteration by the World Coalition forces, given the policies he proposes.

Our only option is to surrender, and hope a reformed version of the Party can exist in the new order the international community will no doubt demand. However distasteful this may seem to some, reaching out to Freiherr von Geraniengau might be worth our while. His new Septembrist friends seem far more agreeable than their Communist counterparts, and by all accounts they look set to become the successor government.

MessageParty members,

I believe that Herr Nimitz had, for some years, been suffering from multiple ailments and according to those very close to him these had become much worse of late. He, of course, had battled on as he felt removing himself from his position would be detrimental to our cause. However, I understand that some three nights ago, Herr Nimitz had some kind of severe seizure whilst working at his study desk and was discovered by close aides.

Suspicious of the factionalising of the party and who to trust, they must have reported the matter directly to the Palace who took direct control of the situation. I was contacted last night to say that Herr Nimitz had been conveyed to the palace in a very bad way, where he was attended to by the Empress' s own specialist medical team. I am informed he later had a further seizure and as a result entered a very deep coma. At this point I was instructed to work with all members of the party to bring governance to our nation as best we can.

Oberst Gehirng, I myself am in agreement that further bloodshed is not in the interest of the party. That is not a view shared by all, I know, but I think we should garner some opinions and if there seems a ground swell put it to the vote.

In terms of leadership, if party members are not of a mind to agree to Herr Bachberg's appointment, I ask that alternative names be put forward, so at least we can look to put together a temporary cabinet with a interim head of government.

As for Freiherr von Geraniengau. If there are any here who still have a connection with this man then I suggest it may be worth reaching out, as has been suggested. The communist alternative is an unbearable scenario.

Random fact: It usually takes up to an hour for election results to generate. During this time, the "Next Election" date is put forward a month, which is confusing. Do not worry! In a short time, the election result will generate and the "Next Election" date will then correct itself.
