Message | 'Roza Svobody' determines this proposal as totally anti-worker attempt of reduction of natural civil rights of the population. Vikenty Bezborodov stated, quote: "If there is not guaranteed by government 8-hour working day, the worker have to work to exhaustion. And if there is no minimum wage provision, the worker will starve. And if there is no right to free strike, they can't even make the employer to change the working conditions! Why are we so concerned about this? Because employers care about money, not about people! This proposal is unacceptable and absolutely inhuman." |

Message | Georgy Nestor, candidate of Our Motherland to the presidency of Trigunia, has responded the statement of Roza Svobody. "We consider Bezborodov's alarmist statement to be nonsense. This proposal will not make any worker starve, this proposal will, in fact, be positive to the workers of our nation. It will help our youth to find a job. The aim of this bill is to give anyone who wishes to work the opportunity to do so, something which is nowadays impossible with our current labor law. We need to have in mind that employment is a mutual transaction of labor and money between an employee and an employer, a transaction which is totally voluntary and in which the government shouldn't therefore intervene. If an employee isn't satisfied with the wage an employer gives him, he is totally free to leave and search for another job. I must as well add that this proposal will not limit worker's right to strike, it will just stop individuals from exploiting our current legislation in that matter, a situation which has already happened in several foreign countries following this legislation." |

Random quote: "We must show that liberty is not merely one particular value but that it is the source and condition of most moral values. What a free society offers to the individual is much more than what he would be able to do if only he were free. We can therefore not fully appreciate the value of freedom until we know how a society of free men as a whole differs from one in which unfreedom prevails." - Friedrich August Hayek |
