Bill: Withdrawal from the International Terran Bank
Details
Submitted by[?]: Greater Malivia Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 4319
Description[?]:
Mr Speaker, The International Terran Bank constricts our nation from acting in its best interests. They limit our access to industrial regulation and more, which would all make the nation better. I think it is in the best interest of Malivians to increase the government control of industry to destroy the corruption caused by public control, however, the ITB (International Terran Bank) limits our forward-thinkers form acting on their thoughts - limiting Malivian progress. Furthermore, the bank is hardly international with the legislation in effect caused by it only effecting 4 nations, and we don't even have a current account with the bank, we are tying ourselves down with legislation with no real gain in store. Therefore, I suggest leaving the International Terran Bank and restoring power to Malivia! Mr. Sumit Harrison Minister for Finance |

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass. |
