MessageThe Ministry of Finance would like to propose the Budget for Financial Year 4319-4320, with projected spending to increase by a total of WAN 2.2b. The government expects this budget to be an expansionary, yet cautious one, limiting spending increases to an amount that remains below our projected tax revenues for FY 4319-4320. I would introduce spending cuts for the Ministry of Agri-Food, Ministry of Environment & Tourism, the Office of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Finance. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Health & Social Services, the Ministry of Education & Culture, the Ministry of Infrastructure & Transport, the Ministry of Trade & Industry and the Ministry of Defence. All these spending increases are necessary to maintain a modern and effective governance system for Kalopia to continue the economic rejuvenation after years of stagnation under the previous Junta. This budget is a Plan for Revival it is the first step to a stronger Kalopia, and it is on that note that I commend to all of you, my honourable colleagues, the Budget for FY 4319-4320.

MessageAlso good call on the drop on environment and tourism. Not very necessary in our current state.

MessageThe Ministry of Finance believes that the funding for the Ministry of Science & Technology is currently adequate and should not see any need for raises in budget for the coming years. The Ministry of Finance will also look into further cuts for environment and foreign affairs spending in the coming budgets after this one, because we are looking at comprehensive tax reform as one of our next legislative priorities.

Random fact: The influence a bill has on elections decreases over time, until it eventually is no longer relevant. This can explain shifts in your party's position to the electorate and your visibility.

Random quote: "Up against the corporate government, voters find themselves asked to choose between look-alike candidates from two parties vying to see who takes the marching orders from their campaign paymasters and their future employers. The money of vested interest nullifies genuine voter choice and trust." - Ralph Nader
