MessageMr Speaker,

By providing a mandated minimum income to all adults the state can ensure that nobody starves, nobody is left behind, and nobody suffers under our watch.

We do not believe in abusing the state for survival - but data has shown that economic scarcity mentality damages our economy and our futures. This proposal - to replace other forms of welfare - therefore seeks to reform welfare to be sleek, modern and efficient. I urge the house to accept it.
