Bill: The Publicly Funded Elections Act of 4321

Details

Submitted by[?]: Voronan Group of Progressives

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 4322

Description[?]:

The time has come for all the political parties of Vorona to show their true colors. We, the VGP, hereby propose that we move to a publicly funded election system. This would mean that every party gets 100% EQUAL funding and coverage. Thus the people will be able to see all the different choices they have and then make their choice. This will also significantly combat corruption and make it so that a party's success will be based more on it's popularity than the wealth of it's donor's.

The ruling VDP openly states that they fight for the "eradication of corruption in government." Thus we believe that it would make perfect sense for them to vote for this bill as well to ensure a whole new level of transparency and anti-corruption action in the great nation of Vorona.
