Message | Regarding Article 1: Solentian businesses are managed and administered by the Democratic Workers' Councils which ensure fairness and democracy in production, pay, and innovation. Companies ought to be beholden to no-one besides their workers and the communities whose needs they serve and who are entitled to fair treatment, livelihood, safety, and sufficient pay. The introduction of stockholders with profit-driven interests in industry would make this difficult. Regarding Article 2: The state is the instrument of the People. If it does not at least have a say in how the central bank conducts itself, we fear that it will fail to adequately represent the People's interests. Regarding Article 3: It is our belief that, while different sectors of workers do indeed have certain unique interests, the fight of one worker is the fight of all workers. We cannot in good conscience support a bill which in any way limits proletarian solidarity. |
