| Mr Speaker, Members of the National Assembly, Since taking office, I have reviewed our foreign affairs position and in an attempt to build stronger relationships with our neighbours, and in a bid to secure more lucrative trade deals around the world, I have taken steps to create a more co-ordinated approach to our diplomatic network. Firstly, I have appointed an ambassador to World Congress (Veronia Roseto - she is an experienced diplomat who has worked at the highest level in both Istalia and Dundorf). This is an area in which we have been lacking a diplomatic profile for some time, so I hope you will join me in welcoming her appointment. Secondly, I have looked at ensuring some of our best diplomats are in position with our key allies and neighbours, such as Cobura, Istalia and Vanuku to build on the strong relationships we have there and explore new areas of co-operation and trade. I will also reach out to other nations, particularly those on the continent of Majatra, to develop closer relationships and galvanise our connections through the Majatran Union. In addition, if there are any treaties that party leaders believe we should look at for the betterment of the nation please let me know. Oskari Brantini Foreign Affairs Minister |
