Bill: Government to regulate which movies are allowed to be filmed and watched
Details
Submitted by[?]: Communist Business Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 4328
Description[?]:
The film-making industry is a travesty in Telamonia. Just last night, I sat down to watch 'Pocahontas in Hell', hoping it will be an educational cartoon. Well, it turned out to be a violent bloobath of nude Indians fighting against crazy Cannibals. There is a good example of wasted two hours of my life. This cannot continue. Communist Business Party proposes: - All movies are subdivided into specific genres i.e. Horror, Thriller, Comedy, Porn etc - No Cross-genre mix allowed - Violence and Nudity only allowed in specific genres such Horror for Violence and Porn for Nudity – all defined by the Government - Each movie has an implicit and explicit government sponsored message in it - Each script and production is supervised and approved by Government appointed Supervisor - Any movie made in other countries go through Government approved Director of Censorship for review and approval - Any movie not compliant with the above is banned and its entire crew jailed |
