Message | Some further details on this proposal. As per Article 1 above, recipients of these titles are nominated by the Head of Government with the award approved by a vote of the legislature. The titles are irrevocable once granted. There will be four ranks of nobility: Order of the Sword (form of address: Supreme Lord, Prince of the Sword) - The most senior honour, indicating a huge contribution to national life - Can be held by male office holders only - Hereditary, passed to first born son through agnatic primogeniture - Affords immunity from prosecution - Accompanied by a significant financial stipend from the government Order of the Bow (form of address: Lord) - A senior honour, generally granted to former Heads of State or Heads of Government - Can be held by male office holders only - Lifetime awards only, cannot be inherited - Affords right to address the National Assembly Order of the Arrow (form of address: Baron) - Generally awarded to retiring senior politicians, retiring senior military officers - Can be held by male office holders only - Lifetime awards only, cannot be inherited Order of Gratitude of the Fatherland (form of address: Vicereine) - Awarded to female candidates who meet one of the above criteria |
