Bill: Local Military Act of July 4329
Details
Submitted by[?]: Scientian Enclave
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 4330
Description[?]:
This bill will decentralize the military to local governments, greatly increasing their autonomy over their defence. There is nothing to prevent local military groups from collaborating with each other however. This will allow us to reduce national military spending and reduce locals' dependence on the national government for defence. With a decrease in national spending, we hope to completely eradicate the national corporate tax along with decreasing income and luxury taxation at the national level. In addition we have decided to propose the ban of mines for civilian safety reasons, democratize military appointments and permit regulated paramilitaries. |

Message | Mdm. Speaker As long as this Bill is on the docket we will not join the Cabinet, support any Bill, and will work tirelessly to remove this Party from government. Defence is not about autonomy, it is about the protection of our country. If the Ataraxians honestly believe national defence would be better at the Local Level then the Chancellor and whatever puppet she choses to appoint Minister of Defence are truly fools. We are adamantly and utterly against and this Bill is completely out line in the sand for ANY further cooperation with the Ataraxian Confederation now and into the future. Message | Mdm. Speaker, We echo the concerns of the Royalist Party. The Chancellor has to have lost her mind if she believes that local governments can and should be allowed to run their own military. As long as this bill is on the docket we too will vote against any bill the chancellor and her government proposes. Stan Harper Leader of the Conservative Party of Hutori MP for West Carter |
