Bill: Malivia Foreign Policy Steering Committee Establishment Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Unity Labour Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 4331

Description[?]:

As Prime Minister, it is the agenda of my government through its foreign policy to formulate a new Foreign Policy approach for the state that will be geared toward increasing our international reputation and image while fostering regionalism.

Thus, a steering committee once enacted, will be empowered with the responsibility to review all Treaties passed in national parliament preceding the year 4200, in deciding whether they should be withdrawn or kept.

There will be 6 members on the committee such as the President, Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs Minister (who is also the Nationmaster) and 1 representative from the three remaining political parties. Each member of the executive has 2 votes each while the three parties have one each.

A decision to recommend a treaty for withdrawal is done where there's a majority vote (5/9). However, the NationMaster/Foreign Affairs minister has veto powers where there's a simple majority vote in favour to block such recommendation from going forward.

Where the Committee has recommended a Treaty for withdrawal, it shall then be brought to the legislature for a vote by any member.

This bill, once passed into an Act, shall be reviewed after every election.

Where Treaties are not recommended for withdrawal, A section entitled *(RP)TREATIES shall be established to place it within that section.

This bill will be passed in accordance of game laws section 20, where it will need 4/6 parties supporting the bill and 50% of seats in legislature.
