Bill: 12/4331 PR/KM/RP-29: Emergency Conflict Budget and Regulations

Details

Submitted by[?]: Partia e Reformës (PR/KM/RP)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 4332

Description[?]:

The Partia e Reformës (PR/KM/RP) propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Μεγάλη Καλοπιακή Δημοκρατία (Great Kalopian Republic).

The Reform Party, recognising the tensions on the Jakanian and Deltarian borders hereby suggests these principles in alignment with what the Ultranationalists originally laid out:

1) All parties shall pledge to work together to maintain national security. All parties will also pledge Kalopian Sovereignty as the number one priority in all conflict.

2) Due to a clash in interests regarding the Jakanian Conflict, the Ultra Nationalists shall be mandated to conduct military operations regarding Jakania, including the amount of troops at the border. They will naturally have to give updates to the President.

3) All parties will attempt to reconcile, and discuss a National Unity Cabinet.

4) All non-essential legislation will be mandated to remain in debate for at least 3 months.

5) Punishment for breaking these regulations shall amount to the disbandment of the guilty party.

MessageIt's time for the disgusting band of crooks and thieves who are occupying the cabinet's offices to get out. We will oppose every attempt at mismanagement they reel off, including this, as they are an illegitimate government. The Reformist thugs have disenfranchised 10.7 million voters and left four dozen seats in parliament vacant. They never won a majority, but are now behaving as if they did. Now they fear the voters, and are too cowardly to face them in an election. Your days are numbered.

MessageMr Speaker,

We call for the reconciling of parties within this bill. That is a stance we believe is important in order to maintain Kalopian Sovereignty. We urge the Opposition Leader to reconsider, and ask himself whether opposing the protection of his own country is of any benefit to anyone? This is not a partisan bill, this is an opportunity to unite under a Kalopian banner. I hope that the Opposition Leader would be willing to put aside ethnic and political differences for his country, and voting for this bill would signify just that.

Prime Minister of Kalopia

MessageKusturica seems fond of stressing pragmatism and bipartisanship when it benefits him, but as we all know, becomes a fierce Machiavellian ruler when necessary. A National Unity Act has already been proposed, and supported by all parties but the Reformists. Why did the Reforrmists oppose it? Because it at one point seemed like it would cost them their power. The Reformists block anything that weakens their rule, divides and bans opposition parties, and then hypocritically calls for unity when it suits them best. Kusturica and his thugs are in no position to lecture others on the virtue of compromise. I repeat my promise that we will not support a single Reformists initiative until representation is restored to the Imam Society's 10.7 million voters, and early elections are held. We urge the Ultranationalists to adopt the same position. This government only bends when under pressure.
